Eligibility & Requirements
To qualify for CEIP funding, your commercial property must meet the following criteria:
- Located within the City of Edmonton
- Non-residential property or farmland
- Proof of property insurance
- Minimum project cost of $3,000
- At least three eligible upgrades, as identified through an Energy Audit
- Five consecutive years of property ownership and tax payment history
An ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audit is required to access CEIP funding for eligible building upgrades. 8760 is a qualified contractor and can perform the audit. The audit can qualify for CEIP financing as well.
Financing Terms & Interest Rates
CEIP offers flexible financing terms and competitive interest rates. Key terms include:
- Repayment Terms: Up to 20 years or the Effective Useful Life (EUL) of the upgrades.
- Interest Rates: Competitive rates ranging from 3.16% to 6%, depending on factors like project completion date and funding source.
